1970s Spots & Stripes Tiered Patio Dress
We're seeing spots! And stripes... and spots again. It's monochrome madness in this lovely vintage patio frock from circa 1978-1982.
Made from 100% cotton with a statement peasant flounce collar in black and white stripe, the bodice underneath is polkadot through the waistline and the first tier below the waist. The middle tier of the skirt repeats the stripes from the collar and is finished with a tier of polkadots. The dress is sleeveless with a back zip fastening and original stripe belt (which you guessed it; breaks up the polka dot between the bodice and the top tier), finished with a big white statement buckle.
Condition
The fabric buckle on the belt had a tear in the fabric which we have repaired to the best of our ability and don't think it's very noticeable when worn. Otherwise the dress is in excellent condition
All vintage clothing is measured with the garment flat and measurements doubled for width. Please compare these measurements to a garment that fits you well as often there is very little or no give in vintage fabrics.
