1950s Elinor Gay Silk Sunset Party Dress
Circa Late 1950s
This one's an absolute peach. This stunning silk chiffon "spring party dress" from legendary vintage New York fashion label Elinor Gay has been turning heads for 70 years and is still as gorgeous as the day she was made. We love the floaty sunset colours of this wonderful silk fabric and the beautiful way this dress has been constructed. The flattering pleating at the neckline gives a lovely cowl drape effect. The dress is fully lined in acetate, with an inner layer of honeycomb netting to give the skirt body and life. It closes up the back with a lapped metal zip fastening.
CONDITION
Exceptional condition. Has original thread belt loops, but no belt.
