An exquisite shirtwaister dress in teal.

Made from a delicate chiffon fabric, semi-sheer with long sleeves and cuffs fastening with button detailing. Magnificent 1940s-style detailing across the front shoulders and back yoke with gathering, a rounded alice collar, and a blouson effect that is reminiscent of the wartime period.

Five marbelised buttons dot down the front, while an elasticated waist offers ample comfort and stretch. When worn, it moves gracefully; perfect for dancing.

The dress would have originally included a slip, and any labels within this part of the garment may have enlightened more details, yet it is evident that this is a commercially crafted dress, perhaps from a mid-range department store or brand like Debenhams or Marks & Spencer. We suggest matching this with a contrasting belt for a more authentic 40s twist. Cream or tan would be lovely. We used white in our model photos.

Condition
Excellent, no issues or flaws to note.
