There's something a bit magic about this dress. It's from the late 1940s: you can see the influence of that decade edging towards the beloved 1950s cupcake silhouette. It has a high scalloped boat neck, and the lovely scallop detail continues all around the neckline into the back. The fabric is a sturdy cotton twill with a wonderful brocade-type print with a lacey effect. From the bustline dress is panelled with a full skirt. There's a pretty pink satin underbust ribbon detail, and the same ribbon detailing continues in godets in the front of the dress. Cute cap sleeves finish it off, and it closes with a back lapped zip.

The dress has been photographed with petticoats and without to illustrate fullness. The petticoat is not included, but as always, if you're looking for one just message us and we can add one to your order!

Condition

Immaculate. No flaws, no marks. Professionally handmade to a high standard. Has matching belt, but buckle to belt has rusted. It will be included with the dress - it may be possible to recover by borrowing fabric from hem.
