1980s Hammells Heavily Beaded Silk Razzle Dazzle Dress

Brand new with original tags Deadstock dress from Hammells - who were well known in the 80s for their heavily beaded gowns and being very on the 'pulse' of fashion.

The dress is silk with heavy beading in iridescent black and gunmetal tones, with a bracelet length sleeve, also trimmed in beads at the cuff.

There is a plunging v to the back of the dress which is very of its time, just above the back zip fastening.

For full 80s drama this dress sports a drop waist skirt with chiffon ra-ra ruffles, finished with a rolled hem and chiffon rose detailing with a dripping beaded tassle.

The illusion top bodice has a sweetheart lining underneath finished with the ubiquitous shoulder pads for the era.

A vintage label saying size 12 but as with all vintage measurements this is definitely smaller than that, so check the measurements of the laid flat dress as it comes up closer to a modern UK10.
