1950s Sheer Beaded Crochet Trim Evening Shawl

A super pretty evening shawl or scarf from the 1950s in sheer black, trimmed with black cotton crochet that is embellished throughout with lots of sparkling gold bugle beads. There is beaded loop detail throughout all the edges also comprising gold bugle beads and, as such, it has a really good weight to it.  It would be lovely as a hip scarf for a dancer or over swimwear on a cruise! 

Condition
There are a couple of minor snags and pulls but they are not very noticeable on, and one small bead cluster repair to loops in one area. These flaws are reflected in price but still a very wearable and lovely vintage item.

Measures 66 inches across the longest edge with a centre of 24 inches.
