1940s Country Cottage Shirtwaister Dress
Such a spectacular find in a perfect size! Adorable cotton shirtwaister dress from the mid-late 1940s. An ivory base adorned with a turquoise rose print and charming turquoise & brown geometric detailing - like a classic American quilt! Truly homestead-y and wholesome. Buttons down the front with pleasing early plastic buttons, and the revere collar bedecked with cheerful turquoise piping. Our fave is the exquisite curved frill detailing on the bodice. mirrored on the extra-generous front pocket. The dress has a fit & flare style with a swoon-worthy skirt, plus a bodice that extends into a gentle cap sleeve.
